Poste de "Lecturer in Russian" à l'université d'Exeter

The College wishes to recruit a Lecturer in Russian (Education and Scholarship) to support the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Russian language and culture. This post is available from 1 September 2014 to 31 May 2015

The post will include teaching (alone or in a team) a range of optional modules on appropriate aspects of Russian studies at all levels of the Modern Languages programmes; teaching Russian language skills at all levels up to BA level and, if needed, to masters level. 

The successful applicant will possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, demonstrated by a PhD or equivalent in Russian to develop teaching programmes, and teach and support learning in this academic area. They will use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students. They will participate in and develop external networks, for example to contribute to student recruitment (especially through open days) and facilitate outreach work (widening participation). 

The successful applicant will have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching. Ideally they will have experience of teaching Russian language. The applicant will also have native or near-native competence in Russian language sufficient to teach Russian language to at least BA level and excellent team-working skills. Staff at this level are expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
